The city rewards successful athletes

This year, the city will reward successful athletes. Prize winners can be nominated until Thursday 5.1.2023 January XNUMX using the forms that can be found on the website from this link.

Forms are also available in paper versions at the city hall's information desk and at the sports hall's ticket office.

The first, second or third place in the championship competitions in the 17-23-year-old series and in the general series is entitled to the prize.

—Success achieved in WC, EC and WC competitions, Olympics and Paralympics will be considered on a case-by-case and sport-specific basis. For example, placing in a skills competition or other similar competition also entitles to a reward, administrative and sales secretary Kati Bragge says.

The person to be awarded must represent the Imatra club. An exception can be made in a situation where a person has been successful in international competitions and officially lives in Imatra, but does not represent an Imatra club. An exception can also be made if a person living in Imatra or from Imatra cannot practice their sport in Imatra.

In addition, with the recognition award, meritorious bodies promoting fitness and health sports as well as fitness enthusiasts are also taken into consideration. Organizations and clubs can make proposals for awardees.
