Vuoks fishing areas

The fishing area includes the area according to the attached map in Vuoksi and Mellonlahti. Fishing with a county-specific lure card is not allowed.

Permit coverage

Vuoksi's fishing permit is personal and entitles you to troll and snare. Children under the age of 12 can troll and snare with the owner of the permit and from his quota for free. The permit for 12–18-year-olds is half the price of a normal permit.

Worm fishing and ice fishing are allowed without Vuoksi's fishing permit. The exception is the Mellonlahti special fishing area, where a Vuoksi fishing license is also required for worm fishing and ice fishing. In Mellonlahti, crabbing is also allowed every year with a different decision.

The autumn relaxation in Vuoki is on 15.10. – 15.11. both days included. The calming area is the area between the Railway Bridge and the mouth of Vuoksi. Fishing of any kind is prohibited in the area.

A maximum of two (2) free fish are allowed in the boat and on the beach at the same time. Likewise, no more than two (2) free can be used for fishing and ice fishing. It is forbidden to use the engine when trolling. The exception is a separate motor trolling area between Kyyrönkoski and the back border of the border zone. The motor trolling permit is personal and entitles you to fish with a maximum of four (4) rods per boat.

The permit entitles you to fish a total of two (2) salmon per day (species: trout, rainbow trout, grayling). Only one (1) lake salmon can be fished per day. The restriction does not apply to fishing competitions. It is forbidden to catch salmon fish except for whitefish.

Every person between the ages of 18 and 64 who engages in lure fishing with a permit from Vuoksi must also pay the state's fishery management fee. A fishery management fee is not required for angling and ice fishing alone. Vuoksi's permit and the state's fishery management fee are required to flag Muikku.

Fishing competitions

The organization of the fishing competition must be agreed separately with the environmental office of the city of Imatra. The organizers of the trolling competition pay a competition fee of €8,00/boat and for fishing and ice fishing competitions €2,00/participant. Competition organized for under 18s is exempt from payment.

Mellonlahti: lure fishing, rod and ice fishing competitions €10/participant. The competition fee includes Vuoksi's fishing license for the duration of the competition.
