Rajapatsas area

History

Rajapatsas, like many other parts of the current district of Imatra, was born around the factories. Rajapatsa's modern history begins as early as the 30s, when the Kupari area was born. Even before the wars, the Imatra Railway Factory built by Oy Vuoksenniska Ab was also completed with its residential areas. Today the factory is known as Oy Ovako Bar Ab. The cultural-historical residential areas that arose around the factories are typical of the region. In the area, there are both areas built for managers and housing areas for factory workers.

Gateway to Russia

About 2 people live in Rajapatsa. The Pietarintie, which runs through the district and leads to the international border station, brings its own color to the border statue. The Imatra international border station was opened in the summer of 700, and the traffic passing through it has increased strongly every year. The neighboring town of Svetogorsk is only a few kilometers away. By bicycle, the trip from Rajapatsa to the center of Svetogorsk takes twenty minutes, depending on the border formalities.

The goal of the Rajapatsaa village association is to maintain the meaningful development and comfort of Rajapatsaa as a living environment. The goal is also to maintain social interactions with all the residents of this district, and to sympathetically think about community maintenance, well-being, improvements, shared visions and implementation.
