REGISTERING AS A HOME VOTER IN THE REGIONAL AND MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS 2025
A person may vote in advance at home, if his ability to move and act is limited to such an extent that he cannot get to the advance voting place in his home country or to the polling place on election day without unreasonable difficulties.
In this case, two election officials appointed by the Imatra Central Election Board will arrive at the appointed time to receive the vote.
Voters must notify the Imatra Central Election Board of their desire to vote at home in the 2025 Regional and Municipal Elections.

A person chosen by the voter can also make the notification on behalf of the voter.
Caregiver
In connection with home voting, a carer referred to in the Act on Caregiver Support (937/2005) who lives in the same household as the home voter can also vote. The central election board of the municipality must be notified of the caregiver's voting at the same time as registration for home voting is done.
In addition to the voter, a person over the age of 18, chosen or approved by the voter, must be present at the home vote. This person cannot be a candidate in the election or a close relative of the candidate. If necessary, another election official can act as such a person.
