Mellonlahti nature walk

The nature trail is approximately 3 kilometers long and has 22 checkpoints. The run goes along the old rapids down to Mellonlahti, and as an additional run there is an opportunity to go to the top of Mellonmäki. The departure guide board is located in the park next to Inker square.

The nature walk's guidebook tells about the area's plants, birds, butterflies, Vuoksi's fish and cultural-historical sites. The trail follows an easy-to-navigate trail network. By car, you can get to intersection 9 by driving down Vellamonkatu. People with reduced mobility can access both the north up to the 9th checkpoint and the southwest up to the 5th checkpoint starting from the 15th checkpoint.
