Disc golf is a sport whose basic principle is the same as in traditional golf: the goal of Disc golf is to get from the beginning to the end of the course with as few throws as possible. The one with the lowest score wins.
A disc golf course consists of fairways. Playing the fairway starts from the starting point and ends at the goal basket. Disc golf courses are typically 9 or 18 fairways. Tracks are typically in wooded areas with varying terrain that provides natural obstacles to the puck's flight path. These obstacles are an integral part of the game, so players should not alter these obstacles to make the fairway less challenging.
The discs used are smaller than beach frisbees. Typically, the disc has a diameter of 21–22 centimeters and a weight of 150–180 grams.
In Kostinpuisto, two baskets are used by the nearest school, but there are no official fairways.
