Sienimäenranta I area the houses are located on the old bank field of the Sienimäki manor that slopes to the west-southwest. The landscape of the residential area is connected to the Sienimäki manor, Orthodox church, Vedenpyhityspuisto, Neitsytniemi manor and a beautiful apple orchard, and on the opposite bank, the historic industrial workers' housing museum, Tainionkoski church. Everything is crowned by the sparkling blue Vuoksi River, which flows next to the area.
In the planning of the area, the protection of the yards and views of the stream have been taken into account. The embankment is landscaped, opening up views of Vuoksi and a wonderful beach trail runs parallel to the beach. A typical house application has been developed for the Sienimäenranta I area. The typical house implementation creates a uniform and distinctive look for the area. The facades have variable wood and stone surfaces.
Sienimäenranta II area the general look is influenced by front-line men's houses and, on the other hand, by the modern building stock of the Sienimäki I area.
In the area of Sienimäenranta II, along the street called Omenatarha, there are a few vacant plots of detached houses with ever-living Vuoksinäkymi, and Omenapuisto opens up at the south end of the street. A white, two-story residential building with a facade material of wood and/or plaster may be built on the plots. A flowering small tree is recommended for planting on the plots. According to the building instructions, a garage or carport and a warm one-story courtyard building can also be built on the plots. The plots are bordered by a strip of parkland owned by the city, along which runs a pleasant beach trail. Swimming is possible at the plots, the current in part of the area is against the main stream of Vuoksi (the so-called akan stream), however, there is no official beach in the area.
The detached house lots are located on the Vuoksi side of Omenatarha-katu, while there are three terraced house lots on the Vuoksenniskantie side. The largest townhouse plots are zoned for 6 apartments and the smallest for 3 apartments. The smallest townhouse plot is also suitable for a joint construction project for three families. The well-thought-out placement of the townhouses allows Vuoksynkymme between the single-family houses. The color scheme requirements of terraced houses correspond to the requirements of detached plots (main color white, accent color brown or gray). You can also build glazed terraces, conservatories and verandas in terraced houses.
