2021 athletes from Imatra were awarded for their performances in 36.

The city of Imatra has awarded scholarships to successful athletes and sports clubs last year.

There were a total of 36 award-winning athletes, and the range of award-winning sports is wide.

—Warm congratulations to all the awardees and good luck in the coming years, service director Arja Kujala wish.

The awardees have received a congratulatory letter from the city by e-mail. Due to the ongoing corona epidemic, the award ceremony will not be organized.

Proposals for athletes to be awarded could be sent to the city in December-January. The condition for the award was the prize place achieved in the Finnish championships in the 17–23-year-old series and in the general series of the Nordic, European and world championships. The success achieved in the Olympics and Paralympics was evaluated separately on a case-by-case and sport-specific basis.
