

There are four swimming beaches maintained by the city in Imatra, two on the shore of Saimaa and two on the shore of Lake Immalanjärvi.
The summer season of the swimming beaches has ended on Wednesday 13.9 September. You can swim freely on the beaches, but the locked facilities are no longer opened in the morning. Water temperature monitoring also ends.

Ukonlinna's swimming beach has an excellent bathing water class, and it is a so-called EU beach. Other Swimming beaches are small public swimming beaches for which no bathing water class is defined. The cleanliness of the swimming beaches and the quality of the water are regularly monitored. There is no supervision on the beaches.
Tainionkoski Tähte camping lodge with restaurants and saunas operates in Ukonlinna. In Ukonlinna, it is also possible to play beach tennis.
Swimming water profile created for the beach
The water quality of public swimming beaches is classified into four categories (excellent/good/satisfactory/poor). The latest classification has been made based on the results of swimming water samples from the 2019–2022 swimming seasons. The classification is affected by the amounts of intestinal enterococci and Escheria coli bacteria. The rating is updated annually.

The Vuoksi fishing park operates in Varpasaari, with a beach maintained by it. Niskalammi's residents' association maintains a beach in Niskalammi's harbor on Saimaa's shore.
At the beaches, you should pay attention to the water quality. Swimming is not recommended if there is blue-green algae in the water.
The observation of blue-green algae in water areas is based on the observations and reports of individual persons, as well as the sampling carried out by the authorities and
