A monthly fee is charged for early childhood education, which is determined by the size of the family, the family's income and the need for the service. The municipality determines the maximum fee if the family does not declare their income within one month of the start of day care.
The monthly payment for early childhood education is the amount of euros indicated by the payment percentage determined by the size of the family from the monthly income exceeding the minimum income limit, at most 295 euros per month
After the early childhood education place has been granted, the family must submit an income statement of their gross income to the early childhood education office either by sending the income statement with attachments by post or by submitting the attachments electronically to merja.ojalaimatra.fi.
Income verification is not required if the family agrees to the highest payment. Consent to the highest payment category can be indicated electronically on the website by identifying yourself as a customer of early childhood education.
In addition to pre-school education (4 hours per day, 186 working days), a customer fee tied to the early childhood education period is charged for the necessary supplementary early childhood education during the academic year of elementary schools.
