In the Ivo area, the Virtapiiri construction contract will be completed in May, but the work will continue for Oikosulu and Kupariliitos later / in the summer. 
In Meltola, the work started last year is continued.

— The works will start in the area in May, says the city's traffic engineer Aino Vuopio.

The tender for the contractor for Vintteri's area renovation is in April, and the finishing work on last year's contract will start at the end of April.

— In winter, the last renovations of the area will be done this year in Kinokuja, Tuiskuja, Lumikuja and Huurrekuja. We will inform you more about them in May, Vuopio continues.

The regional renovation of Virasoja will also be completed during this year.

Investments in underpasses will be made between 2024 and 2026

In the following years, a total of five underpasses will be renovated. 

— This year, plans for underpass renovations will be implemented, which will enable underpass renovations in the coming years, says Vuopio.

Koulukatu—a planning package for the Lappeentie area regarding traffic and green areas and water supply

The whole includes general plans, street plans and construction plans. The completed plans enable the implementation of the renovation of the street area. 

In the area of ​​Koulukatu and Lappeentie, terrain measurements are currently being taken for the plans, and a survey is being organized for the residents of the area for planning purposes. 

— The survey will be carried out from April to the beginning of May, and in addition, a public meeting on the topic will be held at the beginning of May. We will provide more information about this next week, Vuopio says.

Imatra's water is carrying out the drainage renovation of Putkimiehenkuja

— A 160 mm waste water drain and a 63 mm water pipe are being renewed at the site over a distance of about 100 meters, water supply manager Kari Pietarinen says.

In the fall, Karjaportikatu will undergo stormwater renovation, which will increase the capacity of the trunk line between Ruokosuonkatu and Linnapuronkatu.

Every year, one playground is renovated in addition to other renovation works

This year it will be implemented in Sotkulammi.
— The playground equipment and lighting are being renewed at the Sotkulammi playground, says the city gardener Erika Luhtanen.

At the Ukonniemi playground, work continues this year with finishing works, i.e. planting and grassing.

— The implementation of the activity park will be continued by building a multi-purpose field and a fitness center near the playground, as well as their lighting, city gardener Erika Luhtanen says.

The artwork painted on the bottom of the pool in Inkerinaukio will be renovated in the summer. 

— In addition, the paddling pool at the Koskipuisto playground will be painted, Luhtanen mentions.
