Meltola's regional renovation will soon have a winter-long break

In February 2023, the renovation of Meltola's street areas started. In connection with the street renovation, the area's streets and the water and wastewater network will be renewed. The renovation also includes street lighting and renewing the stormwater network.

During 2023, Silakuja, the eastern end of Hevossuontie and Raitti, Loimikatu and Vällykatu have already been renovated. On Riimukatu, the work will continue for an estimated three weeks.

The renovation of the street lights will be completed in the area by the end of October

- Finishing work will be done in the area before the winter comes, during October-November, he says Jukka Malinen From Imatra's Real Estate and Area Service.

Meltola's regional renovation also included the construction of a landfill serving the project on Riikolankatu.

Remotely readable water meters have been installed in the properties in the area. This year's contract also included the construction of a remote reading antenna mast for water meters at the top of Mellonmäki.
