The renovation of Meltola's street areas starts with clearing works

During 2023, it will be renovated Silakuja–Hevossuontie raitti, Loimikatu, Vällykatu, Kulkuskatu, Riimukatu and the eastern parts of Valjaskatu.

In connection with the street renovation, the streets and the water and wastewater network will be renewed. In addition, the renovation includes the renewal of street lighting and the construction of a stormwater network.

- In addition to the clearing of horse veins, terrain measurements and terrain surveys will be carried out in the area starting next week, says the traffic engineer Aino Vuopio.

As a whole, Meltola's regional renovation is scheduled to be implemented in the years 2022–2027.

The construction schedule shown in the picture of this announcement is preliminary, so it may change when the construction works start.

Changes affecting residents, such as water cuts and unusual traffic arrangements, will be announced separately.
