Housing events in Imatra neighborhoods

Release
8.4.2022 18:20
At the residents' meetings in April-May, current issues important to the regions are discussed.

The residents' associations of Imatra organize discussion sessions with the City of Imatra and Etelä-Karjala kylät ry's Oiva Osallisuus in Etelä-Karjela project, which discuss, among other things, zoning and environmental issues.

This spring, events will be organized in Mustalami, Karhumäki, Itä-Siitola and Rajapatsaa.

- We called through the resident associations operating in Imatra and asked what they were up to. Many hoped to get more information and better communication with the city. Based on the calls, we decided to hold the events. The subjects of the discussions have come from the residents. The city sends its own participants according to the discussion topics agreed in advance. At Rajastata, the Congregation and Eksote are also involved, says the project manager of the Oiva Osallisuus project Henna Raikaslehto.

The city of Imatra hopes that residents would be active and that the flow of information with the city would work in both directions. Imatra promotes inclusiveness of the participate and influence working group members are present at the events to listen to what is happening in the residential areas.
