The strongmen will compete in Imatra on the weekend

2021 competitors from Finland and abroad are coming to the Imatra Strongman Showdown 12 competition. The public can cheer on the powerlifters both on Friday and Saturday free of charge.

The Imatra Strongman Showdown will take place this coming weekend at Imatra's Koskenpartaa and Inkerinaukio.

During Friday and Saturday, 12 powerlifters will measure each other. Six of the competitors arrive in Imatra from abroad and six from Finland.

- On Friday, three sports will be performed on the Koskenparta performance stage. The event starts at 19 p.m. and lasts a couple of hours, Johanna Ovaska The strongman of South Karelia tells about ry.

On Saturday, the competition continues at Inkerinaukio at 12 o'clock. The winner will emerge after five sports on Saturday afternoon.

The event is free for the public.

The two-day competition is hosted by a radio host Esko Eerikäinen. At the same time, the competition is also the Voimamiesten Finnish Open and it is televised and broadcast on the MTV3 channel and the CMore streaming service.

The city of Imatra is a partner of the event. In addition to the city, there are several other supporters involved.
