This summer, water flows every day in Imatrankoski

Next summer, Imatrankoski's bubbles can be seen exceptionally often. From early summer, water flows in the rapids every day from morning to evening due to Fortum's repair work in the period from May 22.5 to July 9.7.

─ At Fortum, a four-year project is underway, during which repair work is carried out below the power plant by diving. This requires reducing the flow at the power plant when the divers are in the water. At that time, water needs to flow past, Asset Manager Erkki Luukkonen Fortum says.

Running the water is daily and is done from morning to evening during the repair work.

Also actual rapids shows every day

The rapids shows organized by the city of Imatra will start on July 10.7, if the corona epidemic has been brought under control.

─ Screenings will be held every day in the evening until the end of August.
