A fiber optic network enabling fast internet connection is planned for Imatra

Telsita Oy, which builds optical fiber networks, is mapping residents' interest in high-speed network connections.

If a sufficient number of residents of the area are ready to order a connection, the network will be built. Mansikkala and Lakasenpello are the closest to implementation, as the renovation of the electricity grid is underway in these areas, in connection with which protective piping will be installed in the properties in the area for the implementation of the fiber optic network, states the company's press release.

In a fiber optic broadband connection, speed, delay and network reliability are clearly better than other technologies.

- On our website with the existing survey, we map the areas where construction will start, so those who are interested should add their information to our service and also advise the neighbors about it. We will confirm the connection prices in August, but now we can already promise that the price will be well below one thousand euros for detached houses, CEO of Telsita Oy Janne Ahola says.
