According to the joint selection proposal for spring 2020, 115 new students will be admitted to Imatra's joint high school. There are 120 starting places.

There were a total of 121 primary applicants, of which 111 will be selected. In addition to them, there are four students who will be selected in the 2nd or 3rd place of the joint application. The lowest accepted average is 7,25.

- There are more starting students than a year ago. It's not a surprise, because we start in August in new premises and the age group that completes basic education was now slightly larger than a year ago. There are five starting places available at this stage. Therefore, if you have changed your mind about a place to study or have been completely left without a place to study and the required average of 7,00 is met, you can inquire about places directly from the principal. I am satisfied with the number of starting students, says the principal of the high school Mika Strömberg.

35 starting students are selected for the South Karelia IB high school operating in Imatra and Lappeenranta after a joint selection presentation and a discretionary selection. 14 of them start the pre-year in Imatra and 21 in Lappeenranta.

 3 new students are selected for the high school of the Finnish-Russian school in Eastern Finland in Imatra. They study in the elementary groups of Imatra joint high school.

Due to data protection, the city does not publish the names of the chosen ones on the school's website, on the front door or in newspapers. Those selected will receive information via email from Opintopolku service today and by letter from the school.

The new school year 2020-2021 starts on Thursday, August 13.8.2020, 10.00 at XNUMX:XNUMX a.m. in the premises of Mansikkala's new school center.
