Lempukka took the win by a margin.

1. Lempukka beach

  • 35,3% of the votes
  • Lempeenliettentie 60, 55420 Imatra
  • A shallow sandy beach on the shores of Saimaa. The beach has changing rooms and an outdoor pool.

In the survey, Lempku's beach was especially praised for its calmness.

Hanna Savolainen describe the beach like this:

"The toy has been my absolute favorite since my childhood. First we went there with our own family and friends, now I go there with my own children. A quiet, sheltered place away from major roads and paths. A good sandy bottom and a beach that deepens enough for swimming. In hot summer, the water is a little cooler than on shallow beaches. Good pier. If we go swimming, we always go to Lempukka."

Lempuka also has exotic elements. One respondent says:

"The nearest beach of my childhood was Hossukka. Summers were spent there. Lempukka was a degree more difficult then. If you ever got there, it was like going abroad."

2. Ukonlinna beach

  • 32,3% of the votes
  • Lammassaarentie 66, 55420 Imatra
  • A long shallow sandy beach on the shore of Saimaa. The beach has changing rooms, a toilet and two beach volleyball courts. Tainionkoski Tähte camping lodge with restaurants and saunas operates in Ukonlinna. In Ukonlinna, it is also possible to play beach tennis.
  • Local transport line 5 runs during the summer on June 5.6. – 10.8. until Lammassaari and stops at the beach.

Imatra's largest beach was narrowly second in the competition. It was particularly praised for its services. The nickname "The girl from the city" made a list of Ukoska's qualities:

  • It's good that the bus connection works in the morning and Ukoska in the evening.
  • It's nice to have a cafe where you can get drinks and ice cream, snack.
  • It's nice to have children's play equipment on the beach, benches to sit on and new ones toilets.
  • It would be nice if there was a decent beach without Canada geese.
  • It's good that it's renovated and services are next door.
  • It would be nice if there were swimming mattresses/rings/swimming toys lined up in Ukoska, so you don't have to drag them along.
  • It would be nice to have bicycle pumps if the tires run out.
  • General sauna shifts would be nice, and so that they would be advertised visibly.
  • It's nice if there are dances and music on Ukoska's stage.
  • Ukoska's saunas are a good thing.
  • It's nice that there are a lot of flowers on Ukoska's beach and trees too.
  • It's nice that families with children like the beach.
  • Ukoska is a good distance from the harbor and spa services.

Ukoska is popular with young people. Not Temmens based on the story, this has happened before:

“O youth! Could there have been a better summer job for a 19-year-old girl who loves to swim than that of a swimming instructor/beach lifeguard... A sunny beach, the sweet embrace of Saimaa, many encounters with beach users, nice co-workers and to top it all off with donut coffee at the camping lodge - believe it or not, this was still paid for."

3. Rauti beach

  • Immala
  • 22,1% of the votes
  • Netintie 52, 55910 Imatra
  • A sandy beach that continues shallow for a long time and then deepens quite suddenly.
  • The beach has a suit cover.

Rthose who voted for the deserted beach thought the beach was especially good for children due to its shallowness and velvety sandy bottom. Kalle Pakarinen relies on an impartial external expert in his reasoning:

"The sand on Rauti beach is the best, the beach is shallow and most suitable for small children. The water in Lake Immalanjärvi is clear and warmer than in Saimaa. My mother, 79, lives in Western Finland, visited here in 2018 and went swimming at Rauti beach. He said that he has never swam at a lake shore that was as good, with shallow, clean water and fine sand. Lake Immalanjärvi is a rare gem of Imatra, typically a Karelian lake, while Saimaa is colder, more barren and has the characteristics of Lake Savo. Special attention should be paid to the beaches of Immala. I would like to improve the parking lot and rehabilitate the road on Rauti beach. The rest of it is bad and a bit dangerous for cyclists."

4. Immal sludge Beach

  • 10,3% of the votes
  • Vesikatu 1B55800 Imatra
  • A fairly shallow sand/gravel beach on the shore of Lake Immalanjärvi.
  • The beach has changing rooms and an outdoor pool.

Immalanliette has its own supporters, who, despite the name of the beach and with full justification, praise the clarity of the water.

Sari Pajari sums up the beach as follows: "Clean and clear water lake. Sand bottom, gently deepening, child-friendly."
