The search for mayor of Imatra has started

Imatra city government opened the city manager search today, Monday 15.2.

Imatra is looking for a strong networker and a visionary influencer who understands the whole and makes things happen.

The search was opened immediately after the city council meeting at Kuntarekry.fi. The city's website also has its own page for the search (imatra.fi/kaupunginlinťaksi).

─ This time we decided to try a new way of working. The application campaign is mainly electronic. The actual job application is an original video and a special song arrangement has been ordered for it, the chairman of the city council Anna Helminen says.

Paid advertising time is bought for the video, for example on social media, Sanoma Media's electronic channels and Etelä-Saimaa's online magazine. The video is also shared on the city's own online and social media channels.

The application period ends on 4.3.2021 March XNUMX. After that, the applicants who will continue will be selected. An external personal evaluator is used as an aid in the recruitment process.

─ Tentatively, there are also plans to organize an open online discussion, through which the townspeople can ask questions to the applicants selected for the final round, Ilkka Nokelainen, the 1st vice-chairman of the city council, says.

The new mayor is expected to take office from the beginning of autumn 2021, at the latest at the beginning of September. The council decides on the selection of a new mayor. According to the preliminary plan, the decision will be made in April.
