The corona situation in February affects the details of the event, but initially the audience can participate via video.

Students of the second year of high school will celebrate the day of the elderly on Friday, February 12.2.2021, XNUMX. The prevailing corona situation apparently places restrictions on the traditional program of the day and the arrangements for the dances.

According to the policy made by the city of Imatra and Eksote, the practice of old dances can be started with the courses of the 3rd period starting at the beginning of December. Training is done in divided groups and there are no partner exchange dances in the dance selection.

The corona situation prevailing at that time affects the celebration of Old Days in February. With these prospects, we cannot organize a large public event in the evening. According to preliminary plans, a dance performance will be held during the day in the hall of the Mansikkala school center, which will be recorded for viewing in the evening of that day. In addition, we aim to organize a side program during the day, in which at least children from Mansikkala School Center's early childhood education, primary education students and high school students can participate.

The plans will be detailed in the next few weeks and will be communicated to the students participating in the Old Dances course through Wilma.

The Old Dances course can be attended by students studying in Imatra's joint high school and Imatra's Sampo in a double degree.
