Moisture in the wall of the old school building in Vuoksenski

In the outer wall of the old main building (A building) of the Vuoksenniska school center, elevated humidity values ​​have been observed in the household classroom and the stairwell.

Microbial samples will be taken from the structure in the near future. The moisture originates from outside the property. The reason for this is currently being investigated.

─ The wall is made of concrete, so microbial findings are unlikely, space and safety manager Sami Turunen says.

A more detailed repair plan will be completed in the near future, but there is a high probability that excavation work will have to be done outside the property.

There have been no reports of symptoms from the school staff or students to school health care or occupational health. According to the current information, the observation or corrections will not affect the school work.

The school janitor noticed the moisture damage.
