The repair of the broken pipe on Torkelinkatu has started. According to the current estimate, the water can be returned to the properties along the street by 18 p.m.

The work was slowed down, among other things, by the fact that the repair required cutting down one tree and one lamp post. Driving on the street is possible with caution. Pedestrians and cyclists will have to go around the repair site.

The water has been cut off from three properties, which are Torkelinkatu 7 and 9 and the new side of Valtionhotelli. If the residents of the property need domestic water, they can request it from Imatra Water at 0206174333.

The leak was discovered at 4.15:5.30 in the morning. The water was shut off and the leak to the street was prevented at 350:XNUMX. The pipe break temporarily affected the water pressure in the entire Mellonkylä area. XNUMX cubic meters of water spilled onto the ground.

The city will inform about the progress of the repair next time at 17 pm on its website.
