The goal of lifestyle counseling is to support the client's health and well-being, and to strengthen physical functioning and mental endurance. The starting point is always the client's resources, i.e. strengths in lifestyle. Under the guidance of a professional, we find out what should be changed in our lifestyles, make a plan together and support in achieving it.

At Imatra, lifestyle guidance and exercise counseling providers have been brought together in one network, the goal of which is healthy municipal residents.

—The network has been in operation for two years, and new actors working in lifestyle guidance have been added. The citizen receives a better service than before, and together we can also develop lifestyle guidance into an even more functional whole, exercise instructor Suvi Seppänen says.

Lifestyle guidance and exercise counseling are given to families with children, young people, working-age people and the elderly. The service is free of charge.
