Entrepreneurship vouchers support the entrepreneurship of young people

This year, the city of Imatra and the 4H association of Western Saimaa are supporting the entrepreneurship of young people with entrepreneurship vouchers. With the help of an entrepreneurship voucher, it is possible for a 13-28-year-old from Imatra to safely try entrepreneurship through the 4H entrepreneur path. 

Imatra city's cab advisor Iina Sainion according to the entrepreneurship voucher is the desired support for young people's business activities.

- We are really excited that the entrepreneurship voucher model made possible by the city of Imatra will come to fruition. Young people can use the voucher to try entrepreneurship safely. I hope there are enthusiastic young entrepreneurs!

In recent years, the city of Imatra has supported the employment of young people by offering summer work vouchers and dunu vouchers to young people from Imatra. The entrepreneurship voucher comes alongside these vouchers.

- A young person can be granted either a summer work voucher or an entrepreneurship voucher at the same time, but not both, says Sainio.

Six entrepreneurship vouchers are being distributed, and the value of one voucher is 350 euros. The value of the note is allocated to company establishment costs, 4H membership fee, insurance and, for example, material costs of business operations.

In the application phase, there must be a preliminary idea about future business activities

The application for entrepreneurship vouchers is open from 8 to 22.4.2024 April XNUMX. Vouchers are issued based on applications that meet the criteria in order of application.

- When applying for banknotes, young people must have a preliminary idea about business operations, says Sainio.

Young people who have received an entrepreneurship voucher participate in entrepreneurship training organized by the 4H association. In addition, the contact person of the 4H association works to support the young person on the path of entrepreneurship.

- Our contact person accompanies us throughout the entire business process and helps with both written plans and announcements, says the executive director Merja Kuukka From the 4H association of Western Saimaa.

The young person receives a work certificate for being an entrepreneur and, in addition, study points, if the educational institution accepts business activity as part of the studies.
