Cooperation negotiations will start during April
Imatra city council approved the start of cooperation negotiations in its meeting on 25.3.
The call for negotiations is currently being prepared and the goal is to start the negotiations in mid-April. It should be ready by autumn.
The reason behind the need for negotiations is the ongoing reform of the group structure, which may change the job descriptions of some personnel in a significant way.
—The management system and the operation of the organization are reviewed together during the process. The goal is to increase operational agility and do things customer-oriented, city manager Matias Hilden says.
The background of the cooperation negotiations is also the need for permanent adjustments of 1,5 million euros.
— At most, the negotiations can lead to the dismissal of 20 people, but everyone's wish and goal is that there should be as few layoffs as possible or that they would be avoided altogether. Savings are sought elsewhere than personnel costs, Hilden reminds.
