Green areas

Imatra is a green city. Imatra has plenty of different types of green areas; parks, squares, street green areas and natural park forests. The parks are mainly built near the downtown areas and are located near Vuoksi. The parts of the city are connected by long stretches of roads and streets, the surroundings of which are mainly built-up green areas.

Imatrankoski has several parks and the Koskenparras, Neppari and Inkerinaukio pedestrian streets are located there. Kruununpuisto has different types of parks; Muinaisuomanpuisto, Koskipuisto and Patopuisto. In Mansikkala, the green areas are located on the shores of Vuoksi. Vuoksenniska has green areas related to residential areas and a small water pool park in the center. When you go around Vuoksen Lenkki, the scenery changes from an urban environment to a rural one.
