Spoonface Steinberg premieres at Teatteri Imatra in March. In May, Love Letters starring Seela Sella and Esko Roinee will visit Imatra.

Actor by Ulla-Maija Järnstedt the monologue performed by Spoonface Steinberg will premiere at Teatteri Imatra in March.

The show is a thought-provoking story narrated by the seriously ill 7-year-old Spoonface Steinberg.

- It's a little girl's story, but infinitely universal. The monologue tells about humanity, light. Things are seen through the eyes of a child, but the story could be anyone's, says Järnstedt.

A joint project of friends

Järnstedt has a 36-year career as an actor behind him. Spoonface Steinberg is his first monologue.

- I wanted a challenge. Making a monologue is not easy, because you are alone on stage.

The show is directed by a director from Savonlinna Mervi Koskinen, who is also Ulla-Maija's longtime friend.

The friends expect a lot from the joint project.

- Mervi knows me inside and out and dares to say it directly. I believe that thanks to our friendship, we can get deep into the story and can really live it, says Järnstedt.

Koskinen estimates that Spoonface's story suits Ulla extremely well.

-Ulla and Spoonface approach life in the same way. There is a great desire for life and praise.

Ticket sales for the shows starting in March are underway

Spoonface Steinberg was originally written by a British playwright Lee Hall. The monologue has gained worldwide fame and has been performed by several well-known actors.

In Imatra, the premiere will be celebrated on the Pikku Hiisi stage on Wednesday, March 9.3.

Järnstedt welcomes the audience to live the story together with him.

- This monologue touches everyone in some way. I hope that the audience will come with me to experience and calm down, to see something human. In this time it is needed.
