Imatra Base Camp's event support can be applied for throughout the year

Imatra Base Camp (IBC) event support for 2023 can still be applied for.

− The search is aimed at events located in Imatra that are important to the region's economy and business life, for example entertainment, cultural or sports events,  IBC Coordinator Pauliina Kivinen says.

Support is intended primarily for new events and for the renewal and development of existing events.

- Elements related to marketing, increasing visibility and strengthening the production organization are mapped and planned in connection with the cooperation agreement, Kivinen states.

Clubs, communities and companies outside Imatra can also apply for support. The event must be organized in Imatra.

Other city event grants

Grants that support IBC's vitality are not the only form of support the city provides to event producers.

Target grants can be applied for culture, sports, youth and welfare events. Imatra's culture and sports and youth organizations can apply for these grants from the welfare board all year round before the event takes place.

The city government also supports associations and the foundation. Government grants are awarded for activities and events that support the city's strategy. Grants from the City Council for the following year can be applied for during late summer and early fall. The application for the 2024 events ended on Friday 15.9.2023 September XNUMX.
