Aid cargo from Imatra to Nizhyn, Ukraine leaves on Sunday

The people of Imatra were inspired to knit a large amount of wool socks and mittens for the people of Nizhyn after the city told about sending a load of aid to Ukraine.

- This is the thirteenth aid load I've driven, says Salmi, reached from Estonia.

In the coming week, you can follow the journey of Salme and Imatra's aid load to Nizhyn on the city of Imatra's social media channels.

The desire of the people of Imatra to help surprised the contact director who assembled the aid load based on the needs of the people of Nizhyn Tea Laitimon.

- The townspeople knit a large roll of socks and mittens for both adults and children. In two days, several dozen of them accumulated, and now there are already hundreds of them. Customer service no longer had time to calculate the amount. Many thanks to the hardworking knitters, Laitimo thanks.

Imatra tied the knot cooperation agreement with the northern Ukrainian city of Nizhyn on December 28th.
