Power Festival is a new music festival organized in Imatra on the first weekend of July, July 2022 - 1, 2.7.2022, in connection with the traditional Imatranajo XNUMX event. The venue of the festival is the Fortum park area, on the shore of Vuoksi, a stone's throw away from the Imatranaj race track.

The two-day Power Festival complements the program offering of South Karelia's largest public event, Imatranajo, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. Imatranajo is the most significant road racing competition in the Nordic countries, where more than 50 race guests are expected to arrive. (www.imatranajo.fi)

Connecting an international motorsport event and a high-level domestic music festival at Imatra strengthens the summer weekend's program offering and serves the large audience that arrives," says the festival's program and artist coordinator Sami Vepsäläinen.

Music for many tastes

Imatra will feature Reino Nord, creator of gold and multi-platinum streamed songs and albums, the Emma-awarded Pelle Miljoona Band, the soul and heart of the legendary band Hurriganes, the soul and heart of the legendary band Hurriganes, the energetic rock icon Remu Aaltonen and his pilot Remu Plays Hurriganes, and Mikael Gabriel, who has sold platinum and double platinum with his albums, has reached over 200 million listens on streaming services and has been number one on Spotify numerous times.

There is also the internationally successful musician and music producer JS16, a.k.a. Jaakko Salovaara, known as the background influencer of the Bomfunk MC's band and Darude, as the soloist of Mighty 44, the vocal soloist of the electronic music band Mr.B.

JS16 has promised to perform both their older dance classics and brand new, unheard of music production at Power Festival.

Last November, part of Power Festival's versatile artist line-up was already published, which included the performers mentioned below:

Elastinen, one of the elite of Finnish rappers, Abreu (Anna Abreu), Teflon Brothers (Pyhimys, Heikki Kuula and Voli) performing rap, pop and dance music, Nelje Ruusua still performing in the original line-up and BESS (Essi Launimo), who made their debut in 2017 and combines pop and house in their music, and Imatran a gift to the Finnish music scene, Osmo's Cosmos, which has been successfully gigging around Finland for a quarter of a century.

With her UMK song "Ram pam pam", the sizzling and raspy voice Bess aims to represent Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in Turin, Italy in May. The signs of success are in the air, because "Ram pam pam" has already reached the number one spot on the Finnish Spotify list.
