The theater festival organized for the 18th time in Imatra is one of the most international in Finland, as it brings performers here not only from Finland, but also from Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Japan, Norway, Peru, Poland, Germany, Ukraine and Estonia.

The opening is on Thursday 21.7.2022 July 17 at XNUMX pm in Imatrankoski, the pedestrian street in Koskenpartaa

The city's greeting is brought to the festival crowd by acting Mayor Matias Hilden.

- PK Keränen & Leija Lautamaja will be seen at the opening. They have just released the single “Out Tonight. On the opening day, the Spanish Dance Theater Cia, Hastaqueªcabe, and dancers Victor Fernandes and Mayte Tortoza will also perform at Koskenparta, says the chairman of the Black and White Theater Association Katri Lätt.

On Friday 22.7, Musta ja Valkoinen Teatteri, in cooperation with Teatteri Imatra, will bring the reading drama Talo horjahti, directed by the festival's artistic director Kamran Shahmardan, to the festival's program.

The reading drama contains letters, diary entries and monologues from Ukrainian writers from the middle of the war. The reading drama is performed by Teatteri Imatra Actors Ulla Järnstedt and Kari Kinnari.

There are a total of 22 events during the three days. The closing day of the festival is Saturday, July 23.7, and its street program has been prepared in cooperation with the main event of the Matkailua Imatra 250 years project - Internazvälänisä tuulahduksia.
