Tourism in Imatra for 250 years, we are looking for producers for the jubilee events

Tourism in Imatra, and at the same time the whole of Finland, turns 250 years old. In honor of the anniversary, three historical events will be organized at Imatra, and we are looking for partners to implement them. Are you interested in doing the events of the anniversary of Imatra tourism?
The city of Imatra, in cooperation with the South Karelia recreation area foundation and Kulttuuritila Nuijamiehe, will implement three historical events during 2022. We are looking for partners who want to participate in making events and offer their services as part of them.
 

The search for event producers starts on January 27.1.2022, XNUMX

The contents of the events have not been decided yet, but they will be planned together with the operators applying to participate. Companies and organizations operating in Imatra can apply. The purpose of the events is to support companies and communities operating in Imatra and generate more turnover for them. The operator applying can be part of the production of the event or just a service provider.
 

- Through the project, know-how related to event production and active networking with other entrepreneurs will be increased. It is important to listen to the entrepreneurs' wishes and visions of the events, taking into account the interest of the events for local residents, says the project's project manager Soile Lehtinen From the South Karelia recreation area foundation.

- Good cooperation produces results for the development and revitalization of the area. Events need a wide variety of actors and seamless cooperation to create a successful event, Lehtinen continues.

The themes of the events are:

  1. Catherine the Great in Imatra
  2. Karelian gastronomy
  3. History of fishing
