What snacks will Imatra manage in 2030?

The city of Imatra invites students to come up with ideas for their future. What should Imatra do to make the city flourish in 2030? The competition is aimed at university students.

The city of Imatra's partner in the challenge competition is a recruitment multi-competitor, a doctoral student at the University of Helsinki Saku Tihveräinen. He acts as the contact person for the challenge and the students' instructor.

Why did I get excited about this challenge? Because in this challenge, two parties with enormous potential collide: Imatra and the students. I look forward to seeing what the students come up with, Tihveräinen says.

The main prize of the challenge competition is 3000 euros.

The goal of the challenge competition is to find new solutions that could help create new jobs in the city and thereby young immigrants.

This is a great opportunity for Imatra to gain new perspectives on the future. The students' ideas will be utilized next year, when the new council begins and sets about creating the city's future strategy, deputy city manager Kaisa Heino says.
