Rainy and warm weather will test the first snowfall during the next two weeks.

In order to ensure the continuation of skiing, the section on the western side of Kohonkankaantie will be closed this afternoon. The shortened track is maintained near the Ukonniemi stadium.

- You have to make such a decision when the weather forecasts are bad for the track. The slopes left outside the run start to be dangerous because the snow melts so quickly. Now we are investing in securing the possibility of skiing with a shorter run, says the technical property manager Heikki Varis from Mitra Imatra Rakennuttaja Oy.
