Kostinpuisto is ready, the sports hall's outdoor sports park has also expanded

Kostinpuisto's neighborhood gym has been completed. The sports center built in front of the swimming hall and the sports hall, next to the Mansikkala school center, has, among other things, swings, balance equipment and a small sports field for, for example, ball games.

In winter, weather permitting, the skating rink is to be frozen. There is a small building on the edge of the field that serves as a dressing room in the winter.

Kostinpuisto is used by students of Mansikkala school center on weekdays. The park can be accessed safely through the underpass tunnel.

"The equipment is designed so that there is something interesting to do in the area for everyone, from early childhood education to high school age. The purpose is that the students can use the park during long breaks", special specialist in welfare and education services Harri Valtasola says.

In the evenings, the park is freely available to the citizens of the municipality. So far, at least, there are no operating shifts planned for the area.

New equipment for the sports hall's outdoor sports park

The outdoor sports park in front of the sports hall has also been completed at the beginning of September. Four new devices for training back, stomach and leg muscles have been installed in the park.

"Now there are more versatile opportunities for muscle fitness training in the park than before", exercise instructor Riitta Pellinen rejoices.
