Changes to traffic arrangements in the Rönkäntie construction site area

Karjalantie will be opened to traffic again between the Rönkäntie and Vihnekautu junctions next Thursday, September 19.9. around 9 o'clock in the morning.

At the same time, traffic will be closed from Karjalantie to Rönkäntie, which is closed between the junction of Karjalantie and Vihnekatu. This street section is closed until the beginning of November.

The flow of construction site time takes place on Rönkäntie via Vihnekatu.

Cyclists and pedestrians will be moved on Tuesday 17.9.  to go instead of the construction site to the edge of Karjalantie to the light traffic lane until Sarakuja, from where access to Ratamokatu has been arranged. The light traffic route is delimited from both the Karjalantie lanes and the construction site area.

Traffic safety improves

Similar works were carried out on Karjalantie from July to September. At that time, traffic on Karjalantie had to be diverted through Vihnekatu.

The Rönkäntie connection area will be expanded and two new underpasses will be built in the area. The changes will improve traffic safety and enable smoother movement of heavy equipment to Stora Enso's factory.
