Now you can influence the location of the dog park

The construction of the park will probably start in 2019, and based on the user experience gained from the dog park, the construction of more dog parks can be considered. The survey being carried out now will find out the location of the first dog park.

The city builds the dog park's fences, gates and other fixed structures and is responsible for their maintenance. The users of the dog park are responsible for the general cleanliness of the area and the collection of waste in the trash cans, and they report any problems they find in the park.

 - With the survey, we want to find out not only the location of the first dog park, but also the need for dog outdoor trails and swimming spots, as well as their location, says city gardener Erika Luhtanen.

The construction of dog parks in Imatra has been discussed in Imatra for years. The first initiatives on the matter are from the beginning of the decade and now the matter is progressing to a conclusion. The Urban Development Board discussed the matter at its meeting on 20.3.

The results of the survey will be taken into account when preparing the master plan for dog services, and the survey will close on April 30.4.2018, XNUMX.
