No immediate danger. Evasion spaces for the next academic year are being mapped.

During the summer, a comprehensive construction technical health survey was conducted in the main building of Koske school, which mapped the quality of the indoor air and the condition of the structures.

Preliminary research results revealed that there are risks to indoor air quality in the school. There are signs of moisture and microbial damage in the structural samples, but there is no immediate danger to the health of students and staff.

In order to guarantee a safe learning and working environment, the city, based on the recommendation of the indoor air working group, is investigating evacuation rooms for the middle school and the school in Eastern Finland.

The move to Vaistötimo is timely at the beginning of the next academic year, i.e. in August 2018.

The school will immediately make the necessary repairs so that it is safe to be in the premises this school year.

The most likely option for escape rooms is a modular solution. The city government will make a decision on emergency rooms on September 11.9.

An information and discussion event will be organized for parents on Wednesday 6.9 September. at 18 pm in the Karelia hall. The school's staff will have their own press conference on Tuesday.

Regarding the Linnala school, the condition measurements of the classrooms are still continuing, the results of which will be available in about six weeks. Circumstance measurements are performed by an external expert.
