Garbage is removed by diving in short periods throughout autumn, whenever the water is clear enough.

Diving makes an entrepreneur Jussi Hongan under.

- It's a slow process underwater, but this autumn the cleaning will be completed. The work is subtle manual work, Jussi describes.

- Some of the trash must have come through the snow dump, but a lot can be found, for example, cans and cups thrown into the water. The most special item I found was a construction site helmet

- It is important to keep Vuoksi and its beaches clean. Vuoksi is indeed a diver's gem, with mud walls and sea urchins, crabs and fish. The water is at its clearest in Vuoksi from Easter to June, the entrepreneur praises.

The cleaning is part of the CBC Visit Vuoksi project and bringing the power plant to the fore as a tourist destination for divers.
