The bus of Mansikkala schoolchildren's skiing trip was destroyed by fire

No one was injured. Many people's phones burned down, which is why the young people cannot be contacted immediately.

The bus of Mansikkala middle school and high school students returning from Tahko has been destroyed in a fire. All students are safe.

The exact cause of the fire is not yet known, but the young people were quickly removed from the car. Many people left their phones in their cars, which is why they cannot be reached.

The accident happened 20 kilometers south of Kuopio. The young people had left this morning on a joint skiing trip of the middle school and high school to Tahko. The accident bus was returning back to Imatra. According to the second, the journey of the departing bus has proceeded according to plans.

The city of Imatra will inform on its website when we get more information. Parents are also contacted through Wilmaa. Through this, parents can also contact the school staff this evening. School children will be provided with support for dealing with the event.
