Renovation work will start on Paperharjuntie next week

This week, Paperharjuntie is still undergoing final investigations for the future work between Mustarastaankatu and Isotyllinkuja. They will be completed on Friday, 12.5. Due to the measurements, only one lane is in use in the area, so special caution in traffic is recommended.

The contract area is on Paperharjuntie between Nuijasuonkatu—Pienmustalammintie

- In connection with the renovation, the cycle path will be extended from Nuijasuonkatu to Pienmustalammintie, the city's traffic engineer Aino Vuopio says.

During the summer, the street structures, lighting and water and wastewater network at the northern end of Paperharjuntie will be renewed.

The wastewater network is repaired, among other things, in such a way that stormwater is prevented from entering the wastewater network.

- For properties whose rainwater, such as roof and yard water, has been led to the waste water drain, we are advised to repair the storm water system in accordance with regulations, reminds Kari Mäkelä From the water of Imatra.

The contract area will be closed to vehicle traffic on 22.5. from, changes also to public transport routes and bus stop locations

Public transport lines 1,2 and 6 will switch to a detour route via Nuijasuonkatu and bus stops Saimaantie 19 and 31 and Paperharjuntie 41 and 57 will be closed.

During the work, the possibility of driving through Paperharjuntie will be cut off and vehicle traffic will be directed to go along detours.

Light traffic on Paperharjuntie will be in use throughout the project, but there may be some small interruptions.

All vehicle and light traffic flow restrictions and detours will be announced separately.

A total of four contract offers were received for the renovation of the last part of Paperharjuntie

The cheapest offer was submitted by local contractor Koneurakointi Ovaska Oy.

The total value of the project is around 800 euros, of which the customer's purchases include asphalting the roadway and curb stones. Their share of the contract is around 000 euros.
