Kirsi Hamunen has been elected as the head principal of the Vuoksenniska school center

A Master of Education (KM) has been selected as the leading principal of Vuoksenniska School Center Kirsi Hamunen. Hamunen will start at Vuoksenniska on August 1.8.2023, XNUMX.

Hamunen has worked in teaching for tens of years. He is moving to Imatra from the job of assistant principal of Vuoniity unified school in Helsinki.

The Vuoniity school has four offices. Hamunen is involved in the everyday life of all offices.

—I answer, among other things, 1—3. classes, 7th classes and elementary school special classes and student care work, says Hamunen.

Imatra is already a familiar city to Hamus.

- My family and I have lived in Imatra before, and my husband works there even now. In recent years, we have traveled between the two cities. When an interesting place opened up in Vuoksenniska, I decided to apply for it. I am coming to Vuoksenniska with an expectant and positive attitude.

Current head principal of Vuoksenniska School Center Ville Laivamaa retires at the beginning of August.

The position of the headmaster of the joint upper secondary school is open for application

The permanent position of principal of Imatra co-ed high school will be open for application in the next few weeks.

The position is open for application, because previously worked as a principal Mika Strömberg has resigned from the position since the beginning of March. Strömberg has been on leave since autumn 2022 and served as principal of the central campus high schools in the city of Kuopio.

— I've decided to stay in Kuopio because I've been satisfied with my new job, which also appropriately includes new challenges. I thank the city of Imatra and especially the professional and pleasant staff of Imatra co-ed high school and the students who have been along for 12 years for the journey together, says Strömberg.

Due to a leave of absence, the position of the rector of the joint upper secondary school was filled last fall on a temporary basis. Has worked as a temporary principal Mika Luukkonen.
