Imatrankoski's idea competition received 197 proposals
The secretariat of the competition has started to go through ideas and the jury will receive a bunch of ideas selected by the secretariat to see in the next few days.
- We are happy with the large number of proposals. A lot of effort had gone into preparing them, praises the project manager of the Elävä Imatrankoski project Tuija Valkeapää.
Short descriptions of the received ideas will be published on the competition website in the coming week imatra.fi/kulmille!.
Kulmille! competition jury selects the award-winning proposals, which will be announced on 11.10. in connection with the provincial day, Kulttuuritalo in Virra.

No need for anything new...
There is no point in building a new shopping hall, after all, there is an almost empty shopping center in Mansikkala, which, with a little renovation, will provide a market place for sellers in a central location along Tainionkoskentie. There are hardly any sellers at the current market, so that could also be improved.
