Imatra's unique fish openers now with a marketing video

In the video, Vuoksi's year-round fishing and its ethics are particularly highlighted.

The city of Imatra has started active marketing of the area's fishing opportunities. The impetus for the marketing measures came from a council initiative.

Filming of the marketing video started last summer and continued in the fall and winter. The end result is a long, approximately eight-minute long video, which can be seen, for example, on the city's website, YouTube channel and On the National Miracle website.

— There are also shorter versions of the video for paid marketing on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram platforms. The first ads appear on those platforms in April and the second time in October. In addition, the banner campaigns in Google run in the same cycle, says the marketing manager Katri Storhammar.

In addition to these, Google's keyword campaign is running throughout the year. This year, you can also read about Imatra's fishing opportunities on the social media channels and magazine of Kalamies.com and Kalastus magazine, as well as on the Kalastajankanava.fi website.

— The clean waters of the Imatra area, rich in fish and diverse in species, are unique even in Finland. With the campaigns, we want to attract fishing enthusiasts to come to Imatra and experience the open waters of Vuoksi and Saimaa all year round, says Storhammar.

The video also shows how Vuoksi's fish stocks are partly planted and partly natural, and their vitality is taken care of carefully, taking fishing ethics into account.
