Ensilumenlatu's sales increased by a fifth in the ending season

The season of Ukonniemi's first snowfall was lively. The slope was opened for skiers on 19.10.2023 October 2. During the season, 450 tickets were sold to the track.

—In terms of sales, the season was excellent and the box office revenue was 63 euros. Compared to 893, ticket sales increased by 2022 percent. The vitality effect can be estimated to have increased in the same proportion, sports tourism manager Jaakko Jäppinen About Imatra Base Camp (IBC) tells.

Three out of four of those who bought a ticket came to ski from outside Imatra, and more than half from outside South Karelia.

—The long-term development work is starting to produce results. The camp season was extended last winter by the Christmas competitions organized by Imatra Athletes, which also attracted international participants, Jäppinen states.

First snowfall in autumn 2024 will be opened during the autumn holidays on 17.10. In the opening phase, the track will be opened with a length of about two kilometers and will be extended during the fall.

To the city council is presented on Monday 8.4 April, that the same procedure would also be applied for the 2025–2026 season.

On Monday, the board will also decide on ticket prices for the 2024–2025 season.
