Air quality has deteriorated in central areas

In the area of ​​the South Karelia measurement network, the air quality has deteriorated during Monday morning in the city center areas.

After a dry frosty night, the dust and sand on the road surfaces are dusty under the tires of the cars.

During the current week, the night frosts can also cause inversion situations in the mornings, when the pollutants on the ground are not diluted with the air currents, but remain in place until the air warms up during the day.
