

If you have noticed a suspected health hazard in food, household water or swimming water, it is possible to report it nationwide via the attached ilppa link. The information is processed electronically by the authority. Making a report does not require logging in. The Food Agency is responsible for maintaining the Ilppa service.
REPORT A SUSPECTED HEALTH DISORDER
According to Section 13 of the Health Protection Act, the establishment or commissioning of certain apartments or activities must be notified to the local health protection authority. Such apartments or functions include, among others:
You can make notifications according to the Health Protection Act electronically through the national environmental health notification system ilppa. in the ilppa service can report e.g. of the operation
the information of the notification from ilpa will be processed electronically by the local control unit. Similarly, operators can see their own data from the ilppa service.

The health protection authority processes the report and gives the person making the report a certificate of receipt of the report. If necessary, the apartment will be inspected.
If the reported activity can affect the living environment, the health protection authority will consult those who may be affected to the necessary extent. After consulting the operator, the health protection authority can issue regulations necessary to prevent health hazards or, if health hazards cannot otherwise be prevented, prohibit the operation of the activity at the location in question.
A resident of a shared apartment, right-of-occupancy apartment, rental apartment or other similar apartment who cannot decide on making repairs himself can request an apartment inspection. The request can also be made if there is a smell in the apartment, noise caused by building technical equipment or other nuisance from other apartments or common areas of the building. The request can also be made if the nuisance comes from a neighboring property, e.g. noise nuisance caused by music from a nearby restaurant.
The inspection is free of charge.
Based on the inspection, the official carrying out the inspection decides on possible measurements and other investigations. A fee is charged for the investigations from the property owner.

According to Section 18 of the Health Protection Act, the facility supplying domestic water must apply for approval of its operation from the municipality's health protection authority no later than 3 months before the planned start of operation. Domestic water may not be supplied until the plant has been approved.
Approval of the activity must also be applied for if the water intake or water treatment is substantially expanded or changed, or there are significant changes in water quality or distribution in terms of the quality of the domestic water supplied. The application for the change of operation must be made no later than 30 days before the essential change of operation. The operation may not be changed until the application has been approved.
