The Imatra city library will organize the first of its three municipal election panels on Tuesday, March 16, starting at 13 p.m. In the panels, municipal election candidates from different parties answer the questions posed by seniors from Imatra. For the first time, the theme is vitality. The questions asked to the candidates concern, among other things, the city's economy, entrepreneurship and jobs, as well as the Vuoksi canal project.

Participants in the panel Marja Estola (green), Timo Harkönen (ps), Niina Malm (s.d.), Juuso Mustonen (left) and Jouko Partanen (cook). The event will be hosted by an actor Ulla-Maija Järnstedt.

You can follow the event live on YouTube live, and the recording can also be viewed afterwards. Viewers have the opportunity to comment during the live broadcast by text message or Whatsapp to the number +358 40 673 9622.

The questions presented in the panel have been collected from Imatra residents over the age of 64. The next panels will be held on 7.4. at 15 and 27.4. at 13 p.m. You can still visit them asking your own question either online or with a paper form in one of Imatra's libraries.

The panels are part of the Kuntavaaliareena - seniors' voice heard project implemented by the Imatra city library, which is supported by the Finnish independence celebration fund Sitra. The goal of the project is to promote participation and influence opportunities for seniors and to create a dialogue between decision-makers and the citizens of the municipality.

Update 17.3.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX: Corrected the start times of the April discussion sessions.
