Kulmille! competition seeks ideas for the development of Imatrankoski
The central idea of the competition is to come up with ways to make people feel comfortable in the center of Imatra, says the vitality director of the city of Imatra Susanna Issakainen.
The competition seeks sustainable solutions:
- profitability and sustainability of commercial operations
- to ensure comfort and the attractiveness of the city center
- activities, events and experiences
- for securing social diversity and children's inclusion
- to a safe urban space
- to the functionality of traffic and infrastructure
- to architecture
- One idea does not have to solve all the challenges of the city center, but you can focus on just one theme if you want, Issakainen elaborates.
The idea is evaluated based on its effectiveness, innovativeness and feasibility, as well as the quality of the proposal and how it supports Imatran goals of the strategy.
The competition awards cash prizes of 7, 000, 4 and 000 euros.
- We seriously invest in the development of Imatrankoski and value the expertise of the people of Imatra and others interested in the development of Imatra. It is also reflected in the award amounts, says the city's participation coordinator Heikki Laine.
The harvest of the Kulmille! idea competition will be used in the Elävä Imatrankoski project, which is currently starting, and will last until the end of 2024.
The competition has a secretariat that processes the proposals and prepares the proposals for the awardees for the jury. The composition of the competition jury will be published in August.
